MOWANA
NORDIC FOLK BOAT
Designed in 1942 the Nordic Folkboat is considered the “most popular, successful and influential sailing yacht of all time.” (Steffan Meyric-Hughes, Classic Boat).
It has classic cruising and racing abilities and excellent heavy weather performance. Its simple design is renowned for being stable and well balanced, and its ocean crossing heritage speaks for itself. Mowana was built in Sydney in 1963 and is of clinker plywood and mahogany coachwood construction. The hull is stripped, and internal fittings removed. A Yanmar 1gm10 diesel engine which is currently not fitted. The sale includes complete rigging, boat cover, anchor & chain and tandem road trailer with electronic brakes.
