Some SANDRA History
While the yacht was planing before the breeze out of control, two shifting wrenches were secured to the remains of the tiller straps and the tiller was made fast to these.
Gradually SANDRA was brought back on her course, but by this time the constant flogging of the storm staysail had caused both forestay hanks to part and the jib sheets to come adrift at the tack of the sail.
Timber ya’ Build With
Seventy beautiful and unique Wooden Boats assembled at the RMYC Broken Bay for a great weekend of festivities and displays. The RMYC Festival now in its 23rd year is Sydney’s only annual celebration of classic wooden boats.
A Busy Weekened
The Timber Boat Festival provides a great opportunity to welcome people aboard your boat and enjoy their enthusiasm for timber boat craftsmanship and share in the camaraderie of fellow timber boat owners.
Cleanest Bilge Award-and other prizes
Most Unique Boat was awarded to Roger Patterson’s PEGGY OF TWEED. An open canoe stern launch, that was built by her owner Roger in 2022 in Pottsville, NSW.
