A Conversation with Paul Stephanus-AWBF Director

With registrations due to open later this month for the 2025 Australian Wooden Boat Festival, we thought it might be a good time to have a chat with the Festival Director and General Manager, Paul Stephanus about his philosophy on the event, why you should make the effort to attend and the process for registering your boat. We sat down at the head quarters of the The Wooden Boat Guild of Tasmania, over looking the historic Battery Point slipways where hundreds of wooden boats were first launched. And despite the official program not being released for a few months yet, Paul gives us a few hints on what to expect as this extraordinary festival celebrates its 30th birthday.
