The regatta usually marks the close of the Caribbean sailing season in April, and is famous not only for its racing but also its social scene — think laid-back Caribbean vibes, live music, and sunset parties, all while being surrounded by living pieces of sailing history.

This class is only permitted to carry the smallest model of electric autopilot, and it is not adequate when the boats are being pushed hard downwind.  This was a deliberate decision by Don McIntyre, race founder, to keep the boats simple and affordable

There’s lots of advertising, and a terrible design! But it’s good to be aware of the scale of what can be achieved given the right environment in the world of Classic Yacht Regattas.
