The End of the Great Sailing Ship Era.

You’re going to need patience for this one.

It’s 70 minutes long, was made in 2006, but was only posted on Youtube a couple of weeks ago. It’s by the legendary Garry Kerr. If there is one person in Australia who you would go to for information on Australia’s working vessels, it’s Garry. Don’t expect character arcs, unresolved sexual tension or Chekov’s Gun, but do expect spine tingling accounts from the last great fleet of square-rigged sailing ships the world would ever see, and extraordinary imagery to match.

Make sure you’re in the right frame of mind, find the biggest screen you can, and sit back and enjoy, knowing that you will never be asked to be as brave as these men!
