MAKULU as she is now.

In 1973 the 33ft MAKULU was the
only German entrant in
that years Sydney Hobart Yacht Race.

Today you can find her on facebook marketplace for sale for $2200 AUD.

She was launched in Germany in 1961 and designed by Winning. Standard European construction of Mahogany planks on oak frames.

Don’t underestimate what it might take to get her back into sailing condition…but if you’ve got the determination (and cash) you will end up with a fine little yacht.

Here’s a little “For Sale” video from 2014 ..when she had (and perhaps still does have) a 25HP Volvo.
